These files are published so they can be used — by journalists, researchers, civil society organisations, state governments and anyone else with a question about how public money is spent. You do not need permission and you do not need to tell us.
- Attribute figures to the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
- Say when you downloaded the file — the aggregates are rebuilt continuously.
- Quote the SHA-256 alongside a figure if you want a reader to be able to check it.
Every file is published with the SHA-256 fingerprint of its bytes. Hash your copy and compare it with the value on the card — if they match, your copy is byte-for-byte the file this platform generated.
The same idea, applied to the whole audit trail, is on the ledger verification page.
